The Bulls waived guard JamesOn Curry on Thursday.
By releasing Curry, the Bulls are only obligated to pay $100,000 of his partially guaranteed salary for next season. Counting Ben Gordon’s tender offer, the Bulls currently have 13 players under contract. Curry never played a regular-season game for the Bulls and was arrested and charged with public urination and resisting arrest this summer before undergoing thumb surgery. If he lands with another team, he’ll be suspended for the first game of the season due to his arrest.
